The wedding will be held at Studio 116 in Seattle. It's near the Science Center! The studio is a photography studio and it doesn't have a big sign outside, so you're going to have to trust the GPS on this one. Click here for directions!
The ceremony will begin at 6:00pm sharp on Thursday, August 30, 2018. Doors will open at 5:30pm! It will be a very short ceremony... only about 15 minutes. During that time the doors will be closed (to keep outside noise out and limit interruptions!) and will reopen immediately following the ceremony. Then we eat!
We are still sorting out guest parking, so be sure to check back as the wedding gets closer! There is free street parking available at night and there are also pay to park lots nearby.
Officially? Let's go with "SUMMER CASUAL". Unofficially? You do you. It's not going to be a fancy wedding, by any means. But if ball gowns in the middle of summer while playing board games and eating tacos is your thing, do yo thang. And if to you "summer casual" means a Speedo and flip-flops, then we applaud your bravery. Oh, wait... no... Thomas just vetoed Speedos. Sorry!
LET THERE BE TACOS! There will be a taco bar available, catered by Los Agaves from Pike Place. Please let us know in your RSVP if you have any food restrictions so that we can ensure that you are well-fed! There will also be pie. Mmm... pie. Thanks to Pie Lab we will have several individual pie flavors to choose from, so be sure to specify which you want when filling out your RSVP!
We understand that sometimes it's fun to cut loose at a wedding and get your shimmy on. BUT that's not our kind of party... especially not on a Thursday night, lol. You know what is our kind of party, though? Karaoke and board games. For the particularly skilled, both at the same time. There will still be music, but think of it more as background noise while you sing Backstreet Boys and kick butt at Uno.
We understand that the wedding is on a weeknight and not everyone is in town and off work for PAX. We're planning on wrapping things up around 10pm and at 11pm you ain't gotta go home, but you do gotta get outta Studio 116. The good news is that you're in the heart of Seattle, so party on party animals!
Okay, so we intentionally did not put a date for you to répondez s'il vous plaît by. Rachel used to design invitations professionally and has worked with enough panicked brides to know that everyone ignores Respond By dates anyway. We only ask that you respond as soon as you know for sure whether or not your schedules and circumstances will allow you to join us. And if you get a call or text from one of us two weeks before the wedding, you probably waited too long. ;)
